Rock Hill, S.C. CVS Pharmacy - Sign says they close at 6:00 pm.

At 5:50 pm on April 27, 2008, the pharmacy drive-up window was closed. When I saw the window closed, I went inside --- after driving around the building and getting out in the rain. No one was in the pharmacy. This prevented me from picking up my prescription. I complained to the CVS manager, who confirmed that it was not 6:00 pm yet and the pharmacy was closed.

No one would go into the pharmacy to get my prepared medication. Shame on you, CVS.

Location: Rock Hill, South Carolina

Wanda is right in this situation. I work as a tech at walgreens and we have to continue working and keep the pharmacy open until the time we say we close.

We can't just decide to book it because we feel like it. Yeah we prefer not to deal with last minute pts but its part of the job and why we get PAID. Who gives a flying *** that the techs are tired, they need to suck it up and finish the job right!

I mean come on. They couldn't stay 10 mins?

Guest

Most likely you watch was wrong. This is what happens when you leave things to the last minute.

Guest

That's what you get

ahh... you poor baby...

Those mean ole people don't even realize that the world revolves around you..

:cry

Here's a thought, maybe you could be an adult and take some responsability for yourself. Just saying

I did go inside Nimrod. The pharmacy closed more than ten minutes early because the pharmacist was already gone when I got in there -- ten minutes til closing time.

They are not allowed to close early -- not even one minute.

That's the point. Closing time is closing time.

Guest

Get to the pharmacy a little earlier than 1 minute before closing next time, and walk your lazy behind inside. Lesson learned! BURN!

Guest

As for "no one going into the pharmacy" to get your prescription, no one can access the pharmacy other than the pharmacist. Don't blame the manager. Come on now.

Maybe, Wanda, your clock was wrong. try coming in earlier and respect the fact that these employees have been at work all day and are ready to go home.

there is always so many people that show up as soon as you have closed the doors and say..

OHH, can I still pick up my rx? the last thing on employees minds are staying after, when they are dead tired and they also may have a 1 hour drive home in the rain..

maybe the pharmacist had an emergency or had to leave for some reason. i bet you have left your job early at least one time in your life? GET A LIFE

Customers are usually so concerned with getting their medication immediately (because everyone thinks their condition is more critical than the next guys). If they would relax and give the pharmacist time, then maybe that pharmacist could get a few minutes to relax in his day.

Many pharmacists have to drink nutritional supplements during the day because they don't get time to eat or even get to the bathroom because of demanding customers.

These pharmacists didn't go to school to get a doctorate in order to serve you burgers and fries. Appreciate that next time they help you with a legitimate medical concern.

Guest

Maybe the pharmacist really really had to go to the bathroom or something. If he can't leave the pharmacy unattended, he has to close it. But of course your last minute needs are far more important than the pharmacist who had probably worked an 8 to 10 hour day with no breaks and no lunch period (as is usually the case when there are no covering pharmacists).

I did not wait until the last minute. There were ten more minutes left before they were supposed to close the pharmacy when I arrived -- not the store -- only the pharmacy; so I have no idea how early they actually did close....

but why have a closing time at all if they are going to close when they please??? I was told that my meds were filled and ready for pick-up by 6:00 pm ...drivng an hour from my job, and going out of my way to get to the pharmacy before it closed added to the frustration. 6:00 is 6:00 no matter which way you try to excuse it.

But tell me what would one more day have meant??? What if they closed as early the following day as well??

Guest

Yes please wait til the last minute, though they've been open all day right. You waited that long i think you could what one more day...

Guest

I work for CVS and I have found that the customers do tend to wait to the last minute and then complain when their requests can't be done.

Guest

Erin and dgs are right. Even if someone wanted to, they can't go into the pharmacy without the pharmacist being there. They'll loose their jobs (not that some people seem to care about that...cause it's all our fault that you waited til the last minute).
