My husband got a suboxone prescription filled at CVS in Worthington OH. When he first dropped it off, the pharmacy technician was rude to him.

We got home and he decided to count his pills because he thought something was wrong. We live in Lancaster and worthington is a 30 minute drive but since he goes to the doc up there, he just decided to stop at the pharmacy near there. Anyway, he is 11 pills short and when he called the pharmacy and talked to a technician and the pharmacist, they both told him there was no possible way because they are triple counted. I am telling you, he got shorted pills.

I called back and I asked if she would check the inventory and she said they already did? I was like? "When? They didn't check it!

I need help, where do I go from here? I plan on talking to pharmacy supervisor tomorrow and my husband also called his Doc.

I know I am going to take this as far as I can because it is not right!!!! I will file a complaint with the State pharmacy board.

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Why is it such a foreign concept to people to COUNT THEIR MEDS BEFORE LEAVING THE PHARMACY COUNTER? Is it because then they would know that they received the correct quantity and can't pull the "my pharmacy shorted me" or "the pharmacy technician stole from me" scam in an attempt to get more pills?

Non-narcotic drugs aren't worth stealing. That is the obvious answer to the few commenters who find this topic suspect.

Or are you really naive enough to think there's not one pharmacy technician who isn't also a recreational drug user? It certainly happens, so take a moment to think before condemning someone because they're prescribed medication for chronic pain.

Pharmacies aren't magically shielded from human error. Just saying.

CVS people are so rude! I have no been shorted but I had to stop going to a CVS in NJ because the tech was so rude and i cried almost everytime i left there. How do i file a report against them?

I just got shorted this morning at cvs in Chickasha Oklahoma, the only good thing is I have the strips and each strip has its own I.d. So if any were given to someone else they can track it.

But the lady was super rude to me..

I could be on oxy or anything else I choose because of a back disease, but I've been down that road and suboxone is fine. I still haven't heard back but when I get it sorted out ill let you know what actions I took so maybe it will help someone else.

CVS in Temple, PA actually shorted me too already. There were supposed to be 30 strips in each box but instead there were 5 in one box and 8 in the other.

I was SO lucky to open them in the store in front of the cashier (I wanted to put all the strips in one box) or else I would've been screwed.

Nobody is going to believe we got shorted because we're "pill heads" *rolls eyes*

Anyway, I no longer go to CVS... I recommend target, they're professional there.

I'm having EXACTLY this same issue with CVS. Unfortunately I didn't open in front of them.

Mine is for Oxycodon. I've put in a complaint with CVS but have yet to hear anything. I have to get my new prescription filled tomorrow. And I'm going back to CVS where this happened.

When I pick it up, I'm going to make them count them in front of me and I'm going to tell them exactly why! Then I'll NEVER go back there again!!!

Same thing happened to me. I went back asked if there was any way CVS could have mis counted they say no sir we triple count and initial all counts.

The way the pharmacist treated me was like I just filled a bunch of percs ate ten right there and then said you shorted me.

Anyway I kinda lucked out because they were the sub film and I knew I was the only person on the film because they had to order them for me. I asked a different tech to check the stock and she says we are soooo sorry you were right we shorted you 5 films.

people actually do use suboxone to get high. At least the pills.

Most people are negative because it is pretty much ALWAYS a controlled med that gets shorted.

If you're worried about being shorted, count it out while you're there.

Controlled pills are counted and logged, they wouldn't need to "go check" because it is written down in front of them. Of course, someone could be shorting those pills, but I really don't think a lot of people would be willing to lose their job over suboxone.

Any response from pharmacy board or CVS?

This is supposed to be a site where people can have a valid claim against a company. Are you negative people out there jealous because you cannot get you addict *** any suboxone?

it sounds like it. I have reported any negative response on this.

Guest

Suboxone is used to treat opiate addiction.

Maybee you should pick up and count.

Count your meds before you leave

Have you got anyone fired yet, or anything. Think not. I would tell you to count pills at count but after 10 you would be lost.

Hey @ sorry and @ Have fun, go choke and die somewhere. We really got shorted pills, why in the *** WOULD I WASTE MY *** TIME POSTING ON THIS *** WEBSITE IF I DIDN'T HAVE A LEGIT COMPLAINT.

and @ it could be...thanks for your advice and believe me. I did call the pharmacist in charge and he said " all the pills are counted and logged" I did call the pharmacy board.

Oh and he also said " out of all the pills why suboxone?" I guess we should ask *** *** "Sorry" on here! *** Loser..Go choke and die on your own *** ***!

@ have fun, not EVERYONE is a *** liar like I'm guessing u probably are... And MOST everyone knows there is plenty of lil *** thiefs everywhere!

Yes, even at a Pharmacy...

Get a clue ***. And yeah, my advice would be to count ur pills right when they give them to you in front of them, that way if u are shorted, they witnessed it & they can count them again or find out if they have a lil pill thief working for them & charge and fire their ***!

Guest

you had me at suboxone.. really what else can I say? :roll

Guest

We had several cases here in NJ where the pharmacy technicians were pocketing the shorted pills, so the count in the pharmacy was correct, but the customer still got shorted the pills. I would complain to the pharmacist in charge and, if you don't get the proper action, take it to the state pharmacy board.

Odds are, if they're shorting people pills, you're not the only ones it's happened to. Good luck!

This is the same story told ten times a day. Pills are logged and checked by state, so take your bs story else where.
