CVS Pharmacy-love my job

I work for a CVS in the midwest, and i have never felt so close to my staff EVER. i entered CVS when i was 16 years old, sophomore in high school as a cashier. By the end of my junior year of high school, i became a pharmacy technician, and now, 18 years old, getting ready to go off to college, i've never felt so at ease with my colleagues & our team work. NO pharmacy is perfect, we get frustrated, upset, sad, mad, and happy in the same clothes we got mad in. we are a team, and i think thats what you need in order to have a successful pharmacy. our PIC knows exactly what she's doing, and all of the staff are there to help you if you need it. im really going to miss this CVS when i leave for college and transfer to a new one. they werent just my colleagues, they are my friends too. i think you need that sometimes in a work force. (:

Cvs Pharmacy - Manager Review from Palm Springs, Florida

Cvs is the most terrible company to employes. They give to much work to the employes sometimes walking to the store customer can notice the hard work ,they need to be at the front but at the same time in the back helping costumers and organizing the store .Most of the time this happen with the personal at night ,poor people that work like animal because are just 2 for the whole store the manager and the cashier .The manager work hard but they extra work are for the cashier .The cashiers need to be at the front desk helping customers no at the back cleaning restroom ,the store ,filling the coolers ,doing the carpets and more .When I go to the store the front of every store is nasty and I think that is no the employes CVS need to pay to some company that can clean appropriate almost every month .The payroll is something else that to she poor people can't hand it they have family and bills to pay , paying almost the minimum to the cashier and they working for 5 .In the bad season no hour for anybody so how they can leave .they are afraid to talk and complaint because no body wants to lost they only thing that bring the bread every day .Can somebody hear me and change cvs system or almost the priorities please !!!!!!!!!

Dr's Office

Fullerton Cvs Pharmacy on harbor and Bastanchury, the pharmacist and technicians LIE to our patients, they will say that a medication hasn't been called in (even though when we can give the name of the person we talked with) then the Patient calls back and yell at us, then we have to stop and call the pharmacy again to verify, then they say "sorry we were just busy, or "oh yeah you talked with me" This is very unprofessional, we work with you, we aren't against you, we both take care of the patients why do you guys do this Adeline and Sam? then you laugh at us??? You call our office and don't use the voice message line because you say that you already left a request on it "yesterday" and haven't heard back from us, so we take it down, then "oh, by the way" we have 10 request for you...Look we know your game and we don't think you guys are very nice by telling our patients that we are the ones not calling in the meds..........

Treated Like A Criminal

They treated me like a criminal when I picked up pain medication with an antibiotic after inpatient surgery (I had staples, stitches, and a skin graft). They told me they weren't sure they had enough of the pain medication. I told them I was fine with that and they still treated me with absolute disgust. It was the first time I'd been to that CVS, but I thought it would save time so I could catch my train home at North Station. I recommend dragging yourself to any other pharmacy even if it hurts to walk. The skin graft donor site was from my groin/lower abdomen - 5 inch incision. I would have done the extra walking if I'd had any clue how bad it would be. It made a bad experience of multiple surgeries even worse.

You don't say HOW you were treated like a criminal. So ... how so?

Sorry, I hope this clarifies things slightly...

The disbelieving glare, body language, and verbal tone is an attitude thing... It's exactly how you would treat some *bleep* that's wasting your time with an unnecessary/fake prescription.

When a pharmacy claims they "don't have enough" of drug "x" (when they do), it's because they think you're trying to scam them for drugs.

*btw...

they handed that prescription (all of it) over VERY quickly once they finished calling to verify I wasn't a criminal. I got some funny freaked-out looks to go with it too.

Shift supervisor

the upper management guys from corporate level don't care about anything but how much money they can get i work over night and they turn the main ac off so we are in the heat but up stairs where the product is its nice and cold. they refuse to give us a silent alarm under the registers even though robbery has been an issue to the places surrounding us.they will promote a problem and give you a solution which is a problem ex. they want us to clean the parking lot but dont want us to leave the store only if we are clocked out. they are garbage and will do anything to make some profit

Given medication they knew I was allergic to

I was prescribed Amoxicillin by my dentist as a precaution after a root canal. I verified with her that it was NOT penicillin because I am severely allergic. She said it was fine. I brought it to my local CVS. When I dropped it off I asked the technician again if this was penicillin because I cannot have it because I am severely allergic. He went on to treat me like an *** for asking and said "No i'ts not, that's why they prescribed it." So I trusted the pharmacist and the dentist and I took it. I broke out in a terrible rash and my doctor said I got incredibly lucky that it wasn't worse because I have a severe allergy to penicillin.

I stopped using CVS a few years back because of errors in prescriptions and the poor attitude of the pharmacy staff. The lady checking me out even saw my doctor's name and started ranting about how much she hated him!

(He's been my doctor for 30 years and no one asked her). Today I went into a local CVS just for basics I forgot when shopping. There was a group of kids on bikes who almost ran a guy over so they could get to the entry, and dumped their bikes inside the entry before they went into the store. They were rude and their bikes should have not been right inside the store.

When I asked staff what they were going to do she said "well, they left you room to walk". I asked the manager what she was going to do.

She just stood there and smiled! I have decided, I'll never walk into another CVS again!

Cvs Pharmacy - Customer Care Review from Las Vegas, Nevada

I simply explained that I had recently moved here and my bank told me I could continue to use my old checks if I crossed out my old address and wrote my new one in. The person helping me loudly called for a manager. One manager was yelling across the store to another manager about my personal information and if the check would bounce. Three of your employees all talking as loud as possible across the store about me, my situation and my checks. It was so unperfesional! I could have simply been quietly told no we will not except your check but instead after spending hours at a quick care with painful shingles and my 3 children I end up crying and trying to get out of your store with my 3 crazy kids. I have not used CVS before and I can guaranty I will never use you again. Who behaves that way in a professional, costumer service setting. I've never seen anything like it and I hope I never do again

CVS rewards/coupons

I am frustrated and unhappy with your policy. If I am being rewarded for buying at your store I should have unlimited time to spend my reward money. I should be able to spend my rewards on any item in the store, I should not be limited to certain products. I can understand not using them on prescriptions. I was in the store with a coupon sent to me in the mail for 25% off. The items I choose purchase happen to be on sale. I could not use my coupon for additional off. I think this is wrong. I would spend more at CVS but find myself so limited using your system that I shop elsewhere. Jeanette

so...just to let you know most coupons have a time limit. also what item was it?

im thinking the coupon said on NON sale items. pretty easy to understand the English. there are items not aloud by law to be used with some coupons. im thinking most of them are stated on said coupon or reward money.

which are two different things... read the items before freaking out. they did their part.

try calling corporate. and with an adult tone discuss your unsatisfactory with it

Inappropriate/Unfair Business Practices

On 6/7/14 approximately 1:10-20 AM, I drove to 24 hr CVS located at James St in Chicopee, MA 01020 to take a dump and get my High Blood medications. I expected to get my Lopid, Atenolol and Hyrochlorothiazide for high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I had to take a *** in a hurry. After that I was going to get my meds at the pharmacy. While doing the paper work on the toilet, someone calls my surname knocking at the men's rest room door and I hear walkie talkies and keys and it's Chicopee Police. They asked me what I was doing. I told I'm wiping my rear end. Who's that? Who's that? Why you knocking on the door calling my name while I'm in the middle of wiping my ***? What the f is fn wrong with you? I got out the police said the girl called and said she was scared and that she was the only one working. And said i came in Wednesday night and walked around the store for an hour. I asked the officer was the who callled tonight Spanish or white he said yeah she kind of looks both. The girl who came out to kiss her boyfriend wasn't the one who I saw working Wednesday night. She was short. The woman I saw tonight had dark blonde hair and looked white. The young man who worked Wednesday night was the only one I spoke with and told him there were carriages all over the parking lot. It's going to make you look real bad. The police officer said there was only her working tonight but it wasn 't the Spanish woman it was a white girl with dark blond hair and taller. who stepped out and kissed her boyfriend who had a crew cut. I spoke to police and explained what the and why the *** is she retaliating over selfish ***? It didn't make any sense because I never spoke to her. I spoke to the big young male with the Goatee and musclebound biceps and triceps and chest about the carriages. Somebody blamed the Spanish woman for calling the police. The woman I saw tonight is clearly not who was there Wednesday night. The police said she was the only one working tonight. I called back a young guy with a timid shy voice answered. it was that big muscle bound kid because that's exactly how he sounded like a timid shy scared musclebound kid. If the police said the girl was the only one working, the two lied about the Spanish woman. Even if I was walking around the store for an hour, I'm shopping. I wasn't walking around the store for an hour. Asking for an investigation I was retaliated against by a CVS employee who retaliated over selfish, self centered, childish baby *** that's very unprofessional, as well as Inappropriate an d unfair business practices. I want the two who worked tonight to be terminated for the reasons listed.

CVS reps rude, unprofessional, and negligent

To give some background: I am a healthcare professional, and I also suffer from bipolar disorder and PCOS. I NEED my medication for my brain chemistry and estrogen levels to remain at normal levels. Not only did CVS reps give me the run around, belittle me, berate me, YELL at me, blame me for my situation, and ultimately refuse to give me my medications, but they LIED to me about having contacted my doctor's office and when I, on the *** of tears, outright BEGGED for the meds I need in order to function, the rep's response was to hang up on me. I was without my medications (that I've been on for years) for almost a WEEK on TWO different occasions, all the while frantically trying to negotiate with rude and antagonistic CVS staff. After two days without my meds I start to experience medication withdrawal. Do you have any idea what it's like to withdraw from an antidepressant and/or an anti-seizure medication? It's *** on earth, and also very dangerous. I've dealt with many different pharmacies and I have NEVER been treated this way by any of them. CVS should be ashamed and, in my opinion, should be put out of business because of their gross negligence. Oddly enough, when I was communicating with my doc's office about this, I was informed that mine is not an isolated situation; they hear these same complaints from many patients who use CVS pharmacy. CVS had also made no attempt to contact them the whole time; my doc had received no phone call, no fax, no communication of any sort for almost a week while all of this was going on. Now that I (finally) have procured my medications, I plan to never set food inside a CVS again, and will encourage all of my colleagues and patients to do the same. A completely disgraceful corporation.

You dont say WHY they refused your meds. They cannot control who gets meds and who doesnt.

If your prescription /insurance line up you get them. If not you dont. They dont make that decision.

They CANNOT ILLEGALLY give out prescriptions because you might have withdrawls. Its YOUR responsibility to keep your meds /refills on track.

Just wondering why the OP didn't transfer her scripts to another pharmacy?

Why did they blank out the words "***" and "***"?

CVS Caermark - Claims experience

CVS Caremark has managed my prescription claims for years. I submitted one in February (paper, I had paid in full) and it was denied. Since then, I have received the worst possible customer care imaginable. I need to call back every month (four months now) to get and update on the status and each time I am told they will research it and call back. They never have called back. Each time they say they are adding notes to the file and on the next call no one knows anything about it. They design the system so you cannot connect with the same person twice. I believe this is more than incompetence, I believe it is a strategy not to pay claims and hope claims just go away. They are winning the war of attrition. I believe the organization is unethical in its management of its fiduciary obligations. You can bet if I had not paid my premiums for four months, I would not have coverage. CVS Caremark, it is your turn to live up to your obligations. Alan
