I was in the process of transferring all of my prescriptions over to CVS from Walgreens due to poor service and unnecessary wait times. Last week approximately 6-26-17 I dropped off one of two prescriptions from my doctor.

There is a week difference between the times they can be filled because of a dosage issue that occurred two months prior. I dropped off the single prescription at the drive-thru window. Later I returned to pick up my prescription at the pharmacy counter and was told that the prescription could not be filled because it was, in the pharmacists words and empathized "Wayyyy Too early to fill this". I looked at the prescription and realized my mistake.

I had given the pharmacy the wrong prescription. I had given them the one that is due to fill a week later. I explained my error and said that I would be back tomorrow with the correct prescription. The following day I did drop the correct prescription off at the drive-thru window.

The woman at the window asked me to wait a minute "to make sure they had the medication in stock". A minute later another, older woman, came to the window and asked me "what was going on". She said; You just tried to fill another prescription yesterday "wayyyy too early" and now you want us to fill this?" I told her, just like I told the woman the day before that I had simply made a mistake and gave them the wrong prescription yesterday. She then told me that she would check and if it could be refilled that she would refill it.

She checked and told me that it would be filled. Later I returned to pick up my prescription and the woman (same one from the day before) summoned the manager. He presented me with the prescription form and said that he was not able to fill it. I asked why, and he said it was because I had no "History" with CVS.

This was incorrect. I have filled prescriptions at CVS as early as a month before and all my personal and insurance information was up to date. The month prior I spoke with a woman at the CVS pharmacy and she assured me that she would assist in getting all of my prescriptions transferred over from Walgreens. The real reason that my prescription was not filled was because it was for the opiate based pain reliever Oxy-Codone 10/325.

The prescription I had given them the day before was Fentanyl patches that I use in conjunction to the Oxy-Codone. I suffered a debilitating accident some years ago and am unable to walk or stand due to severe pain. The pain medication that I take makes it possible to lead a much more pain free and active life. The doctors that I see every month are with the Pain and Spine Center located less than a mile from the Lebanon, TN CVS pharmacy.

My prescriptions are legal, legitimate and verifiable with a single phone call to the Pain and Spine Clinic. All of my medical treatment and prescribed medication is approved and well within the Tennessee and Federal limits of the law governing opiate based medication. If the manager at CVS was as concerned about getting and keeping new customers as he was about possibly giving pain medication to a criminal drug abuser he would have picked up the phone and made one call to my doctor's office and verify that everything was legal and legitimate. I had tried using CVS pharmacy a year ago and decided to use another pharmacy after watching the manager then, verbally yell and argue with a pharmacy staff member all in the presence of customers.

During that same experience I also witnessed a very angry woman come in complaining to the manager that "He" had given her child the wrong medication. The unprofessionalism displayed by the CVS pharmacy manager was troubling to say the least. I did some on-line research and found that bad service, public temper tantrums and serious errors in filling prescriptions was common at CVS Pharmacy Lebanon, TN. One account said that "it is just a matter of time before CVS kills somebody by giving them the wrong drug".

About a year later I was in the CVS pharmacy and saw that they had, thankfully, replaced the previous manager. I had a prescription filled then and decided to switch over and leave Walgreens. As I have described, that was a very bad mistake. After the way CVS and its manager treated me, a new customer, I have decided that if CVS were the only pharmacy in my town I would not use them and choose to go out of town.

CVS, by far is the worst pharmacy I have ever traded with. It would be a great service to my community if CVS were to close its doors and leave Lebanon, TN. forever. After retiring from the service industry after thirty five years I can conclusively say that if CVS was my business I would fire the entire pharmacy staff at the Lebanon, TN location and not lose a minute of sleep over it.

I am fully aware of all the state and federal regulations concerning the sale and dispensing of opiate based medications. I know that any customer who is prescribed and purchases opiate based medications is entered into a computer data-base which prevents the illegal practice of "doctor shopping" and buyers purchasing more opiate medications than they are legally allowed to. I understand these safeguards and support them completely. The system worked perfectly in my case.

My pharmacist was unable to fill the medication prescription that I have given in error and it was brought to my attention. What I am angry about is that there was nothing legally or otherwise preventing CVS pharmacy from filling the correct, easily verifiable prescription I gave to them other than the managers personal feelings. He didn't do his job and verify the prescription legitimacy. He didn't do his job and take a moment to talk with me and try to better understand the situation.

CVS never again.

I THINK THAT THEY SHOULD START SAILING MEDICAL MARIJUANA AT CVS IMMEDIATELY. THAT WAY YOU COULD ENJOY A TOKE TO GET YOURSELF INTO THE MINDSET OF FIGURING OUT THEIR EXTRA BUCK DEALS AND 40% OFF COUPON DEALS!

CVS WOULD MAKE A KILLING IN PROFITS, ALL OF THE GOOFY STONERS WOULD BE USING EXTRA BUCKS AND 40% OFF COUPONS THE WRONG WAY AND BE THINKING THAT THEY ARE GETTING A GOOD DEAL WHEN THEY WERE ACTUALLY GETTING GYPED.

AND ALSO, CVS COULD SAIL ALOT OF JUNK FOOD TO ALL OF THESE STONERS WOULD BE HAVING A CASE OF THE MUNCHIES. THEY COULD GO AND TAKE A MAGIC CARPET RIDE SHOPPING AT CVS AND LEAVE BLISSED OUT!
