CVS Pharmacy - Shingrix vaccine scam
Received and paid for Shingrix vaccination 2/20/2018 at the CVS pharmacy on Richmond Rd in Williamsburg VA. I was told I needed a 2nd shot or booster no sooner than 2 months but no later than 6 months.
Shortly after 2 months passed I stopped by the same CVS Pharmacy where I received my initial Shingrix vaccination . I was told that the booster shot was backordered but my name would be added to a list and I would be called when the booster was available. About two months passed without receiving a phone call from CVS so I called. I was told "Still on backorder but be assured we'll call you as soon as it is available." Today I walked into the Richmond Rd CVS and was told the booster is still on backorder.
The clerk called at least 2 other CVS locations in the area while I was there. One of the locations had 3 booster shots but they were being "held".
The other location had none. I am angry and frustrated because it appears I paid $160.30 for a Shingrix shot that is not going to be effective becasue CVS cannot provide the booster within the recommended time frame.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Oh for gods sake - the manufacturer ran out! It's not a scam.
Why are you blaming CVS for a manufacturer issue? CVS has no control over whether a vaccine is sent to them or not. You sound like you’re just looking to stir the pot.
