I previously used CVS Pharmacy store#2122 and they were great, rarely ever a problem. When I moved at the end of 2018 I was forced to use the local CVS Pharmacy store#661, which is locally known as the worst pharmacy.

I’ve tried to explain how the good CVS Pharmacy did things and the pharmacists & staff at store #661 refused to hear me or even consider the point that they might be wrong or not doing things as easily as their own software would allow them to.

They refuse to let the software tell them when prescriptions are due to be refilled as they literally prefer to count out the days manually which is always 1-3 days extra. Over the last 2 years I’ve contacted CVS Customer Service many times by phone & email, and have even sent detailed emails to the district manager explaining the ongoing issues at store#661 and the incredibly simple solutions which CVS already has in their possession (Software), and still nobody is willing to hear me.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH CVS PHARMACY!!!!

CVS Pharmacies arent run to the same standards, so you could go to one thats ok and another that doesnt even know how to schedule future refills or even schedule a paper prescription. CVS Pharmacy (Store #661) has screwed up so many times that my prescriptions arent aligned anymore, causing me to pick up 3 times a month.

Even worse, they refuse to use the software provided by CVS in order to do their jobs, and CVS has literally made me physically come into their pharmacy at least 3 times per paper prescription in order to get it filled. CVS has turned an easy process into a minimum of 6 visits to their pharmacy per month during a pandemic!!!! Im required to go to CVS Pharmacy first to have them check and/or order the medications, then continue to come back into the pharmacy physically to make sure they still have the medication in stock all the way up to the refill date when Im also required to come back into the pharmacy again to give them paper prescription that theyve already had in their hands 2-3 times beforehand. They literally dont know how to run the prescription through their own software and schedule it to be filled on the correct date.

How can such a massive corporation like CVS be so antiquated, slow, and provide such poor customer service in 2021 when they already have a solution; the software to automate much of the issues they struggle with. CVS has made me suffer without my prescribed medications for as long as a week, without any care or concern for their customers well-being simply because the pharmacist only feels like ordering medications on Mondays only. Ive been providing details of these issues nearly every month to the Courtney Lowery, the district manager, whos literally done nothing to resolve the issues or hold CVS pharmacy staff accountable for their actions. Ive even had to make a complaint about one of the staff using racist language against the head pharmacist to another customer right in front of me and on multiple occasions when my prescription was short on pills.

Ive merely asked the CVS Pharmacy staff at CVS Store #661 and the district manager to please use their software to schedule prescriptions rather than relying on hand-written notes and antiquated manual process.

For over 2 years now they have continued to do things the most time-consuming way possible along with providing the worst possible customer service.

How can a business be so content to lose customers because their employees prefer to do things however they feel like doing them that day, thus creating more work for themselves. Change really isnt that scary CVS, its 2021...

User's recommendation: Don’t use CVS Pharmacy - avoid the stress.

Preferred solution: Train pharmacy staff to use software so they can schedule prescriptions rather than only being able to refill a paper prescription the exact date it’s due + a day..

CVS Pharmacy Pros: If you have time to waste this is your pharmacy, If you like cvs pharmacy turning 1 visit into 3.

CVS Pharmacy Cons: Poorly trained, Refuse to listen, Dont know how to use software, Refuse to schedule paper prescriptions, Slow & poor customer service.
